MERHBA
Jiena ili nikteb mill-1974 u minn dak iz-zmien ‘l hawn bqajt nohrog kwazi ktieb fis-sena. Xi snin minnhom hrigt anke tlieta jew erba’ kotba. Kollox kien jiddependi mill-pubblikaturi, ghax bhala ghalliem dejjem sibt il-hin u l-pjacir li nikteb.
Bdejt nikteb ghall-kbar, inzilt fil-livell taz-zghar u dawn l-ahhar snin qed niddedika ruhi ghaz-zghazagh ghax kienu jgorru li ftit kien hawn kotba bil-Malti ghalihom. U kellhom ragun. Izda issa m’ghandhomx ghalfejn igorru izjed ghax diga ppublikajt 15-il ktieb apposta ghalihom u ghandi numru iehor jistenna lill-publikaturi li johorguhom.
Minn mindu rtirajt minn ghalliem ghaxar snin ilu harguli 25 ktieb u r-raguni hi li ma naf naghmel xejn izjed hlief li nikteb…. u li nkompli nghallem, anke jekk indirettament. Nispera li int ukoll issib ktieb jew tnejn minn tieghi li jinteressawk… u li forsi tithajjar tibda tikteb bhali.
Nawguralek.

I had a look at the list of books you published, and I recognised a number of books which I have read when I was younger, including Il-? ojjin, Il-Kitarra l-Misruqa, Il-Misteru tal-Mensija, Is-Serqa tad-Djamanti and more recently Ix-Xandir f?Malta – all books which I still have in my library!

Dear Mr. Cutajar,
I’m Aaron Xuereb from St. Aloysius’ College BKR. Today you visited our school with Mr. Paul Mizzi and as you were talking I appreciated our National Language, Maltese. I am now more interested in your books you published for us.
I asked the Librarian if there are any of your books in the school library and she said, “Yes”. Now the first free lesson I have I will go to the library and borrow some of your books to enjoy reading them. I have already read some of your books like “Il-Gojjin” u “Il-Gojjin Iehor”.
Thank you very much for your visit to our school and for the books you write for us.
Regards,
Aaron

il-love these books mostly “il-misteru tar-razzet ta’ Xindi”. There is a lot of expressions and old word and it is very folkloristic it also helps understanding the way the maltese people must have felt with the french being so rude and why the maltese were so heroic
I love the leggendi series !
