Surcharges on tickets

If there’s one thing I hate, it’s been offered a ticket for a price, then being subjected to a whole bunch of surcharges and extras. It doesn’t matter if it’s a flight ticket or lady gaga tickets, if the ticket price is £20, that’s the price I expect to pay when I check out.

At the end of the day, the headline price sets a shopper’s experience, so sticking to that price it pretty important. The last RyanAir ticket I bough had almost double in price by the time they added charges for luggage, web checkin and administration charges. If I paid a fixed price for my ticket, I would have been happy to be told the full price up front, it would make me feel better at the end once I had submitted my credit card.
