Taking vitamins

Yes, I know; vitamins supplements are really intended for those who don’t follow a proper diet, and I’m pretty sure that I get my fill of all the nutrients, minerals and vitamins I need. Having said that, we always try to take our vitamins, Arthur gets kiddie ones and we take the occassional multi vitamins just to keep us topped up. I know that I could probably buy the best multivitamin for men if I wanted to, but I don’t really feel like I need anything like that. I do occasionally take an iron supplement too, especially since there was a time I went to give blood and was turned away because of a low haemoglobin count.

What vitamins do you take?

    Multi-pass! I mean Multivitamin! (Wrong movie…)

I also take Magnesium Oxide (I run low for some reason), and even though I’m on diuretics (Lasix and Aldactone), I don’t take Potassium, it runs good enough as is. I also take 2,000 IUs of Vitamin D(3) and 1,000mg of Niacin at night. All on doctors’ orders. I’ve got this huge bottle of Vitamin E, but my cardiologist doesn’t want me on it for some reason. It would have been nice to find out BEFORE I bought that bottle.

    I think that’s enough.
