Well, this week hasn’t been too bad, but I don’t think I’ve managed to lose any weight. My social life has just been a bit too hectic and I’ve been eating out lots (including a trip to the Chinese last night). I knew I’d be having a big meal, so I skipped breakfast, had a fruit for lunch and walked 2 miles to get to the restaurant, but I’m pretty sure I ate more than twice my daily allowance (and that’s just a conservative estimate)
I’m doing this on calorie counting alone. I’m not sure if appetite suppressants would work on me anyway, as my “hunger” is really in my head, not in my stomach; and I’m perfectly capable of eating if I don’t feel hungry. So, after a week of effort, I’m hoping the net effect is that my weight is the same as last week. I’ll give myself a weighing tomorrow and we’ll see.
