A bit of this and a bit of that

Well, it’s playtime by my definition, as I have 2 gadget to play with at home. Camille just told me that my Buffalo Linkstation has arrived. It’s a NAS device with redundant storage, or in other words, somewhere I can put my photos and videos without fear that they may be lost. It’s a nifty piece of kit and I’m looking forward to play with it.

I also have an old machine that I’ll be building for a friend of ours. It’s no Sony Vaio, just an old Samsung X15 that’s seen better days; but we have a friend with a kid who hasn’t had an opportunity to mess around on a computer, so it’s perfect for her to bash around and get her hands dirty.

So, it’s going to be a busy evening. Can you imagine me surrounded by all those bits and pieces?
