A bit of this and a bit of that

It was great to finally see Google’s new mobile OS finally launch after lots of talk and speculation. The Google G1 looks to be pretty cool, though there do seem to be a number of initial flaws and rooms for improvement. Still, it’s relatively new so I’m sure a number of the shortcomings will be addressed. The plans are for it to initially available only on T-Mobile, but in the near future I hope a number of unlocked cell phones will be able to run the software.

I’m still on Windows Mobile 6 on my XDA, which is doing a fine job, but sometimes I crave new toys …
