So, one week in and I’m still managing to stick to my diet. I’ve lost 4 pounds so far, so hopefully I’ll keep it up. Keeping a food diary has definitely helped. Here’s what my weight graph looks like at the moment:
I wonder if I should promise myself a present like one of those luxury [...]
And it’s still going well. I’ve decided to move my food diary to a separate page, otherwise my blog will quickly get pretty boring. Managed to keep it to 1500 calories today again, thought it’s only 8:00pm and I know the kitchen is closed. Well, the trick is going to be to keep myself busy, [...]
I seem to be on the right track with this diet. I’m supposed to consume 1500 kcals a day, and I’ve finished the day off with 1503. Pretty close huh. Here’s what I’ve gone through:

So, time for a fresh start on my diet plan. It’s going to be pretty simple really. I’ll be keeping a food diary and trying to consume less than 1500kcals a day. The premise is simple, if I use more than I consume, then I’m losing weight. Thanks to agreeing to taking part in an [...]
I’ve joined a research study in obesity that’s running here in the Isle of Man, which involves watching what I eat for the next six months, keeping a diary, regular weighings setc. Here’s a bit of Q&A about it:
Q What is this research project?
A We are evaluating a new concept of weight reduction. This involves different types [...]
I’ve just spend the whole weekend studying for my Negotiation and Influence exams. They’re actually quite interesting, with my favourite section so far being on streetwise negotiation. It’s interesting to see what techniques used car salesmen and foreclosure help specialists will use to try and get you to use their service. The texts however also [...]
Saw the trailer of Alien v Predator : Requiem on TV yesterday. I’m a big fan of sci-fi (as you all know), so it’s high on my list of films to watch. I remember seeing the first AVP and I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed Alien, I enjoyed Predator and well, seeing the two of [...]
Camille and Arthur have flown to Malta today for a wedding of a family friend. I decided not to join them, partly because I want to save up my holidays and partly because I REALLY need to get down and study hard for my final 2 MBA exams in the first week of June. [...]
We bought a bread maker a couple of weeks ago, so I thought I’d make some bread to go with dinner tonight. We had some sun-dried tomatoes in the fridge, so I looking up a recipe online. Not finding exactly what I wanted, I adapted this one and here’s what I did:
1 6g packet of [...]
