We’ve recently fitted our mail printer with a continuous ink system, exactly like the one in the picture in this post. The idea is that it’s supposed to be more economical to fill up the ink this way, then to keep buying cartridges at extortionate prices. It was fun to fit it, but it’s more bulky than I thought, to I’ve had to keep the top of the printer propped open.
Print quality hasn’t been that great, but I think it’s because the printer ink hasn’t started flowing smoothly yet. What about you, what sort of printer do you use?

I just bought myself a cheap HP printer (HP Deskjet D1460) from Amazon. All in all it cost about 25 quid including a pair of ink cartridges. If those cartridges are worth the price of the replacement ones, the printer cost me about 2 quid. It’s crazy that it works out about the same price to buy a whole new printer as it does just to replace the ink cartridges.
Agreed. And that’s why the market for refilling cartridges is so large. The continuous ink system is still relatively new to me (bought it off eBay), I’ll keep you posted on how it goes.
