Another approach to remote studying is one that is used by http://www.mcintoshcollege.edu/ (another website I came across). While some schools let you download books and proceed at your own pace, Mcintosh College organises virtual classes so people can meet up electronically and have lessons together. It’s an interesting idea that pulls back the social element into studying, rather than dealing with it on your own. I must admit that doing my MBA on my own has been a bit lonely at times. It’s totally different to sitting in a classroom, where there’s social interaction that helps the learning process (I feel). Sure, there can be more disruption with everyone sitting physically next to one another, but I think the whole experience is conducive to better learning. What do you think?
