Don’ you hate it when you have the heating on, but part of the house just doesn’t lose it’s chill? It must be a central heating thing, but sometimes the radiator coverage isn’t idea in some houses. Back in Malta we never had central heating. When I was a kid, my mum used to use a paraffin heater, but nowadays, people use portable gas heaters instead. Obviously, the weather in Malta is warmer than the UK, but the houses just aren’t built to keep the heat in, so they can actually feel colder than here. It is quite common though, for people to have portable heaters that an be used where the need arises.
The other reason why portable propane heaters are so common in Malta is that there is no central supply of gas, like there in here in the UK. If you want to use gas to cook with, for example, you can buy a gas cylinder to supply your cooker. Because of the fact that portable gas heaters use the same cylinders, it’s particularly easy for someone to use gas for heating as well. The biggest problem with gas cylinders? You need to keep an eye on them to make sure they don’t run out! So always make sure you keep a spare.
