A bit of this and a bit of that

I was speaking to a friend on a forum who was looking to buy a laptop online. Turns out she had been hunting through a number of different websites and wasn’t quite sure on how to get the best deal. I remember that sometime back I have blogged about a website that specialises in US coupons and discounts called Coupon Chief. They help you get the best prices for anything you’re looking for online.

My first port of call was Dell. I’m a big fan of their machines, having 4 of them at home at the moment. There’s another broken one that I have to fix, but I need a power connector for it (it’s 5 years old, so well out of warranty). The coupons looked interesting, but I didn’t see anything that really yelled out at me.

After looking through the HP coupons and the PC Connections ones, we finally decided to use a CompUSA one. They had a coupon for $250 off notebooks and laptops and that suited my friend down to a T. I’m looking forward to seeing her online from her living room now
