If you’re based in the USA or Canada, one of the best ways to get your hands on some quality art is through auctions. And Park West Art Gallery is one way you can do this. Their services aren’t only limited to the US however. Their sister company, Park West at Sea, conducts cruise ship art auctions around the world. I’ve never been on a cruise ship art auction, but it sounds like tremendous fun.
What’s your opinion on art? Personally I prefer original paintings to prints mainly because they have more texture and tend to be more vivid than prints. I’ll rephrase that, I actually prefer an original painting from someone I’ve never heard of before, to a print of a classic by a master. What do you think? Which do you prefer ?

I prefer original art, especially if I can meet the artist before purchasing. Unless you’re buying art to cover a stain on a wall or to take up space, why not patronize a starving artist?
