Arthur tomorrow!

November 8th, 2007

I am worried! Everyday Arthur grows a little more. He is such a little boy and no longer a baby at all!

I can just about keep up with him now and he is not quite 2. He can point to letters in the alphabet. He can count till 5 with someone. He is also potty trained (mostly!).

I? think what is he going? to be doing tomorrow? Play the Piano, Speak Manx or be a football fanatic! Perhaps oddly enough being the football fanatic will be the easiest to keep up with as there? is alot of websites? like? Aston Villa News? which could mean that I can follow what he is on about. The problem is what if he only wants to speak to me in Manx?

Building

November 6th, 2007

We have the pool area and adjoining rooms in Viola avenue and they need some structural work. We have been thinking or simply rebuilding the rooms as it means we have our minds at rest. So we started off by getting quotes. That alone was hard enough. You would be surprised how many people have answering machines and how many do not call back. What is the point.

So we started getting quotes. Then we thought for our protection, so the cost does not suddenly go up when they think they are milking a cash cow, we told them that we were going to have to refinance with mortgage loans. We thought that as long as they thought they were dealing with loans then they won’t add on “unexpected” costs. So we needed a change in quote and suddenly, the quote was £10k more than anticipated. Interesting!

Moral of a Jaguar!

November 5th, 2007

I have a tale to tell of a woman scorned. This poor woman caught her dear hubby cheating on her. Never nice. But at least she pulled her wits together and paid him back! (See here)

For some reason the car is in her name… so she is selling it! Sadly she did not seem to realise this before throwing the paint. However I cannot imagine her hubby is too pleased. Not with the paint nor by the fact that she is selling his car.

Now I must admit, it is a nice car. It is just like the one we bought but ours is slightly older used car. The jag is really sleek. I always wanted a jag and simply adore it. I feel so sorry for the paint covered jag. She should have just given it to me!

But as I said, there is a moral to the story. Always beware of a woman scorned? especially if the couple own a nice lovely jaguar! Mind you, I could never destroy my jaguar that way! I am sure there are a thousand other ways to get a cheating husband!

Do you get the jist of what would happen sweetness if I CAUGHT you cheating?

Affiliates

November 3rd, 2007

One way to make money online is through affiliate programs. Affiliate programs offer a range of affilates such as casino affiliate programs? and shopping affiliates. The benefit is that you can make money if you have a website that has a high number of visitors. They do then to be small amounts of cash but it is only worth it if you have high volume traffic.

Photography

October 29th, 2007

I have started a new course in photography. Although it is more basic than my previous course, I feel happier as I feel that I am getting a better in depth knowledge. The lecturer is really good. At least so far! It is a course in creative photography and it will cover basic photographic principles, developing and digital manipulation. It is the digital manipulation that I am most interested in, as I have already covered history of photography, principles in photography and development.

I have to say that I like printing my own photographs. I also like developing my own photographs. Though the amazing bit is with digital manipulation you can do anything. Fix photographs, remove objects, turn a snap shot into an almost professional image and even correct colour balance. So I spent a couple of hundred buying a printer. The only thing it does not do is print on A3 which would be nice. The other thing is paper can be expensive too. You can buy A3 photographic paper from places like PhotoPaperDirect.com, which is never easy to find. Sadly I will just have to stick to A4 print outs unless I get them printed professionally. Ah well!

Essays

October 17th, 2007

You really can get anything via the internet! You can actually get people to write things like essays, research and Dissertation Topics? for you. I bet Roderick and Randolph would love to hear that considering they are starting university! The thing is shall I tell them or not? Hmmm… I wonder if they will read this post?

Skin

October 17th, 2007

I have always hated my skin. I have pale or fair skin. That is being diplomatic. As a little girl, we would have a group photo of the class taken every year. This would most often be taken just after school begins (after a hot blistering Maltese summer). All my friends would squint away at the photo and try to find themselves in a mass of faces. But oh no not I! I could pick myself out from across the room. Somewhere on the photo would be a splodge of white. That was usually me. The ghostly face in the photo.

Then as a teenager, well my face broke out in acne. Spots flooded my face. It hide my palour by giving me blotches of red in varying colours! I even got called Pizza face. Make up did not help. Just made things worse!

However I found out, perhaps I did not do too badly as a number of people from the mediteranean have problems with their skin. Apparently they tend to suffer from pigmentation problems (which I do not seem to suffer from or am blissfully unaware!). Still, I guess they are still better than I ever was. They could use things like ORIKI Cosmeceuticals, where as I was Pizza Face throughout my teenage years!

Warcraft

October 17th, 2007

As you probably know, Owen is a really huge warcraft fan. I must also admit to having played the game once or twice. Admittedly I never quite got as involved with it as Owen. I also found that I wasted inordinate amounts of time playing the game. I also think that Owen spends too much time on it when he starts playing on it. It is a good thing he does not play it too often or I would be a husbandless!! Or worse have to play to partake in a social life with my family. Argh!

Anyway, I believe that you can now play warcraft against others on the world wide web! So at least you may be getting real social interaction and not just software interaction. What has really impressed me is that warcraft gold? is being backed by real money. In other words people are actually paying real money for virtual services and virtual goods. In plain English people are paying cold hard cash for imaginary products and services. Can you just imagine how good that imaginary / virtual dinner was!! Perhaps I ought to get involved as a seller of virtual products? Can their be an easier way to make cash!!

Old!

October 11th, 2007

? I was trying to look for a phone with a decent camera 5 Mega Pixel plus? and came up with the Samsung G600. However, I also came up with this statement which I could not understand “Vote for Queue Jumpers with The Samsung G600 5 Mega Pixel Camera Phone “. I guess that I am? must be getting? old and out of it! How sad is that!!

A bike for Arthur!

September 26th, 2007

I was thinking about getting a bike for Turu. Perhaps I should consider a bike rack? at the same time or he just might never get to use his bike. Thankfully living in the Isle of Man means there are lots of places where? Turu can ride a bike. Hope Owen agrees!
