I always found it exciting to player poker though I am by no means a decent player. In fact I frequently forget the rules and get muddled up with rules, regulations and concepts such as :-  which wins

• a straight or a poker
• a full house or a set of 3 and of 2… or is that the definition of a full house.

I am so out of practise, it is no wonder I forget the rules. What I do know is that the basic rule to winning in Poker is … Bluffing! Luck helps, but it is more about your bluffing skills. Which is why I generally find online gambling baffling. I mean how can you bluff or tell who is bluffing if you cannot see their faces? I was on my hubby’s website and saw a post about a promotion being run for a Winter Wonderland competition. I do like competitions. There is the thrill that you might win. Ok aside from the fact that I probably won’t… it is still nice to try. After all I have won things in the past.

Anyway, apparently this competition has some really fantastic prizes.

Aren’t they absolutely fabulous prizes. I mean I would not mind winning any of them. I think I would struggle to decide which prize to chose if I had to choose one, but apparently the winner gets all. Yeay! And better than that… there are going to be three winners.

I know what I am going to be dreaming about tonight. I wonder if my sweet hubby was thinking the same thing?

I found a site which is perfect for me. For most people it is great because it lets you stick pictures on your blog making it moree attractive. After all we always want our things to look their best. And the way to get our blogs to look their best is to use blog pictures. Obviously the picture ought to be co-related to the post. You cannot write a post about dogs and then have a picture of planes! And least not unless you have some weird blog. (It is not like their are none of those about!)

Anyway, I found this site which lets you use their pictures. I think this is great because although I do take lots of photos, there are some I can only dream about ever being able to take. I mean seriously, would it not be great if I could take a picture of Earth as seen from Apollo 17!

And besides being able to use their photos for blogging, I can also list my own with them. This should help increase my profile and make me feel like my photos are not a waste of time. Well, I suppose all hobbies are a bit of a waste of time, but we enjoy doing them… so why not?

As you know we tend to travel a lot, particularly to Malta so that we can see family, attend family occasions etc. However, as with everything it always costs money! So we always try to go with the cheapest we find. You hear of people getting flights for £25 and so on. I have never travelled that cheaply. I have never paid so little not even with Ryan Air and the likes. You can say, but I though you said you travelled for free on Ryan Air last time. Well, technically, yes! My flight was free but I still had to pay

• Taxes
• Airport charges
• Credit / Debit card charges
• Bag charges
• Preboarding charges if preboarding was required
• Food / Drinks on board*
• Insurance if required (we have annual travel insurance)
• and who knows what other charges!

So it leaves me amazed when people say they flew for peanuts. Our next flights to Malta cost us nearly £300. And you might think they are good prices… however I should point out that we do not have priority boarding, our luggage is limited, it does not include food, drinks etc, and our travel insurance was paid separately. We paid far more than that for our IOM flights!!

So the question is why did we choose Ryan Air and Flybe? I suppose the reality is they probably paid a Full Service Advertising Agency to get them to the forefront of the travel industry and they were among the top 5 we checked out prices for. The truth is you go with what you know. If you try to search every option, you would be there for days (and none the wiser). So what we do is we check the main names that come to mind eg British Airway, Air Malta, Ryan Air, Bargain Holidays and Easyjet and choose the cheapest (in the case of Malta). The question is who do we check out and why those 5 not another 5 names? Personally, I put it down to good advertising because in reality… I bought a flight with Ryan Air… and well let us say my opinion of Ryan Air and Maltese Buses are not too far apart!!

*You do end up spending because it is not just a 3 hour flight, you also have 2 hours at the airport and in our case flights from the IOM and time in IOM airport too! It is a day’s travelling!

It strikes me just how well Marketing Advertising works. I look at my little one and every time he sees an advert for a mechanical spirograph, he keeps asking for it. He is not yet 3 and already asking Mummy and Daddy for things which are advertised on TV. And he is not the only child asking for it. Trust me! Thousands of kids are watching the same adverts and begging their mums and dads for it. And so just in time for Christmas, all the parents will head off to the toy shops and buy their kids all their hearts desires. And their hearts desire what they watch on TV! The more appealing it is on TV, the more the kids will want it and ask for it.

It is why I like CeeBeebies…. it is advert free TV, because in my head adverts work too well! I mean seriously can you just imagine how much money they could make as a result of their advertising? Perhaps this is where I went wrong, perhaps I ought to have targeted kids watching TV. I would have sold far more balloons and tricks than I did. I wonder what it costs to advertise on TV?

Everyone has heard that old gag! Haven’t you? Well…. “How do you…” Oh So you have heard it then.

Well seriously speaking… Have you ever heard of anyone doubling your money? Well Money casino online are doing just that. They are offering new subscribers the chance to double their chips. Now if only I could multi task… let see, I think I would erm… I think I need to stop this post to stay thinking what I could do if I could multi task!!

I am joking about not being able to multi task you know. After all I am a mum!!

I have found myself once again caught in a web! Not literally of course. I played spider solitaire a few days ago when I was feeling under the weather and did not feel like doing anything, and as a result caught another bug!! I have become entraped in Spider Solitaire’s web. I cannot seem to help myself but play, play and er play!

I know it is bad because I know I should be doing stuff like answering my email, hanging the clothes, updating my blog posts, going to the park with the little one etc etc. But instead the lure gets stronger and stronger, and I find myself playing again Spider Solitaire. This really means that I am wasting lots of very precious time. Now if I could find a way to make money off it… (I would probably lose the lot but who is to say!)

Ok, perhaps I need a better idea. Perhaps I should play some casino games, and then I really stand a chance of winning some money. I can then justify playing games because I will be earning money at the same time. Now would that not simply be a great idea. Money for playing games!! Hmmm!

Oh what a day! First? I ended up with a wet bed when munchkin rested on Mummy & Daddy’s bed. Then I find that? one of the cats got locked in a bedroom and did his business on our luggage! Serves me right as I did not fully unpack and I did lock the cat in! Argh!

Everyone has heard of Donald Trump. He is well know for being able to buy a business that is failing, do his magic stuff and sell it off at a profit. He now is even running his own courses for buying a business! Though honestly speaking I wish he came to me when I needed to sell my business! Admittedly, I think I needed a sell your business course rather than a buy a business course. Or perhaps better still, if he had come round and helped me with my business I would have gladly given him 50% of our profits. After all 50% of something is far better than 100% of nothing!

I simply could not resist taking this video of my son playing in a sheet. I wish I had a few sarongs to give him to play with. Mind you, I bet they would then end up as tents! It is not a long clip but it made me smile.
