Photos of Arthur up for grabs!!

Photos of Arthur up for grabs!!
I like sunflowers and their sunny disposition! I miss having one this year. I should have thought of it earlier. Still the neighbour has one…. I can take a photo of theirs when it flowers. Meanwhile… this is my own home grown sunflower from last year. Ok Ok, Arthur’s home grown sunflower from last year!
Today I had the opportunity to take photos in a studio. It was a thrilling experience. I must admit perhaps I was a bit too ambitious but well ambition is generally not a bad thing. Mind you have 3 toddlers at a photo session is a hard task and for your first session…. you get my drift!
Over all I was a bit disappointed in my lack of skill but it has shown me where I need to improve. I cannot wait to play with my photos and try to photoshop them. Hopefully I will have some nice pics at the end of it.
I took the family (Daddy excluded)? all the way to Peel to watch a bonfire and fireworks. When we got to Peel, we found they cancelled the bonfire due to the wind! At least they did the fireworks but they were not much to write home about. I missed the Kempton Park fireworks!
Poor Arthur was terrified of the fireworks. Hopefully I captured a photo or two. And the journey was sponsored by a mystery shop!
I have started a new course in photography. Although it is more basic than my previous course, I feel happier as I feel that I am getting a better in depth knowledge. The lecturer is really good. At least so far! It is a course in creative photography and it will cover basic photographic principles, developing and digital manipulation. It is the digital manipulation that I am most interested in, as I have already covered history of photography, principles in photography and development.
I have to say that I like printing my own photographs. I also like developing my own photographs. Though the amazing bit is with digital manipulation you can do anything. Fix photographs, remove objects, turn a snap shot into an almost professional image and even correct colour balance. So I spent a couple of hundred buying a printer. The only thing it does not do is print on A3 which would be nice. The other thing is paper can be expensive too. You can buy A3 photographic paper from places like PhotoPaperDirect.com, which is never easy to find. Sadly I will just have to stick to A4 print outs unless I get them printed professionally. Ah well!
My camcorder died an untimely death. And so the search goes to find a new camcorder. I must admit that I like the? Canon range. In fact my current camera is a? Canon EOS 400D. However the Sony range is not one to be trifled with.
I am not quite sure where to start with the latest research for camcorders but I suspect if I head to a Direct Distributor of Apple, Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft Products? I just may get the advice I am seeking.
The question is what do I need in a camcorder? Mini DV or DVD? Photographic? Zoom Lens? Wide Screen?
