Embryos Transfered

January 22nd, 2009

Today I had 2 embryos transfered. We called the Luck and Chance because that is what it is now going to boil down to. I wish I could do more, but I cannot. I know Hope worked, because we had Arthur… Now with a little Luck and some Chance, we could have a sibling or two for Arthur.

I must say I was impressed how quickly this whole treatment went by. It made me realise that hospitals like Homerton really need to improve application availability because leaving me wait 2 years was riddiculous. At least this went smoothly and truthfully before I knew it, here I was having Luck and Chance implanted. My fingers are crossed now.

Big Day

January 20th, 2009

Tomorrow is the big day. I am filled with dread and fear. You see so far things have really moved smoothly and cosidering past experience, well I am just waiting with bated breathe as to what is going to go wrong. Will it be their database administration? Will it be that none of the embryos make it? Or simply that it won’t work. After all success rates in embryo transfer are really low.

Arthur’s Birthday

January 18th, 2009

Arthur is 3 today. Can you believe three years has passed since Arthur came into our world. They have been the happiest years of my life. I have never imagined I could feel this way. He means everything to me.

We celebrated his birthday with a Party and a bouncy Castle. You cannot not have the bouncy castle!!

Life’s a bitch

January 10th, 2009

I just read about a baby being abandoned in a school field. It rips me apart. Here I am hoping to get pregnant and a girl who doesn’t not have the human decency to give a new born baby a chance of survival gives birth to one. Unless as a society we take things more seriously, we are going to keep having these problems.

It is not about showering the baby in silver baby gifts, but at least, if you decide to give birth and don’t want the baby, give the child a chance to a decent life and have her adopted. Meanwhile, if anyone wants, I have a lovely home and lots of extra love to offer this child, and Arthur would love a brother or a sister!

Merry Christmas

Back Home

December 1st, 2008

We arrived back home today. Owen went straight to work but Arthur & I headed home. Arthur was exhausted. Mind you, I guess we all were. It is nice to be home.

As a treat we made our Christmas cake.  Yeah!

Off to London

November 27th, 2008

We are off to London tomorrow as it is Owen‘s Work Party. SolidSoft are as always being really generous. They are taking us to Quaglinos and we are staying at the Cavendish. Mum is also babysitting Arthur for the weekend.

Off to Edinburgh

November 18th, 2008

We are off to Edinburgh today. I must say I am looking forward to seeing Owen graduate.

I cannot wait to try Haggis, check out Arthur‘s Seat and hit the shops. And don’t worry Owen, I won’t go buying unique wedding favors just a fridge magnet or two!

Acobox

November 7th, 2008

I found a site which is perfect for me. For most people it is great because it lets you stick pictures on your blog making it moree attractive. After all we always want our things to look their best. And the way to get our blogs to look their best is to use blog pictures. Obviously the picture ought to be co-related to the post. You cannot write a post about dogs and then have a picture of planes! And least not unless you have some weird blog. (It is not like their are none of those about!)

Anyway, I found this site which lets you use their pictures. I think this is great because although I do take lots of photos, there are some I can only dream about ever being able to take. I mean seriously, would it not be great if I could take a picture of Earth as seen from Apollo 17! Blog Pictures | acobox.com

From Acobox, you can get exactly that! Yes! This is a photo of Earth taken from space on Apollo 17. Now seriously… I have to be dreaming to be able to take that shot!

And besides being able to use their photos for blogging, I can also list my own with them. This should help increase my profile and make me feel like my photos are not a waste of time. Well, I suppose all hobbies are a bit of a waste of time, but we enjoy doing them… so why not?

Seriously… is this not one of the most amazing photos you have ever seen?
