Recipes

I found some more new recipes? on a blog website. They have some unusual items like Pecan Rolls (Yummy!) and Luau Recipes -? Hawaiin recipes. They do sound so appetitizing.

They also have monthly competitions. It would be so great if they had a kenwood processor that I won as a prize, or even a bread maker! What would you like to win?

The only drawback for me? is that all the measurements are in american measures, but that can be overcome quite easily, I hope.

I think they also have a broken link on the Orange Banana Freeze recipe. Does anyone have that recipe, it sounds delicious.

And if someone can tell me what shortening is, there is another recipe I would really love to try. mmmm.

Veggies

I am not sure if you remember but I used to be a vegetarian. I actually spent several year as a vegetarian. It was never quite for the love of vegetables. The truth is I used to feel sorry for the animals. And in case you are wondering… NO I do not feel sorry for them any more. I made a choice and am really happy with my decision. I would not change it for anything. And besides I do enjoy meat. :)

And please do not go into it. I do not need to justify my decision so do not even bother questioning it.

The thing is this, you need to eat fruit and vegetables to live a healthy life style. It is recommended that you eat at least 5 portions a day. This is not always easy but there are things that can make it easier. Things I have done, have included to Drink My Daily Veggies? or fruit like in smoothies, I have even made fruit jellies and mulched them into food. Currently my favourite daily portion is apricots. Just 3 dried apricots counts as one portion. Yum. Now if they could include chocolate as a fruit and veg portion!!

Big Cook Little Cook

Arthur loves Big Cook Little Cook. He even has his own little kitchen. He loves cooking on it. And he also loves helping Mummy anyway he can.

The only problem is there is only so much Big Cook Little Cook that Mummy can take!

Diet News

Ok! Ok! I admit it. I gave up after a month of? dieting. I need to get back on board. Perhaps I ought to consider an alternative method? of dieting such as? Calorie Counting. I guess I need to get myself a Calorie Counter? or better still a Free Calorie Counter! Perhaps I should just join up with My Fitness Pal!

I current just feel so unmotivated to diet but I know I should. And I have lost so much weight in the past (without putting it back on), it would be a shame to not complete the task and aim for my ideal weight.

To Party or not?

It’s my birthday again! I think this is the point I turn 21 again and again! But that’s not the point of this conversation… you see I have a dilemma… To Party or not to party?

You see I have always believed in throwing a Party but since I moved to the Isle of Man and had Arthur, I have lead a quieter life. Anyway… the question is who would I invite?

So perhaps this year I will skip it and opt for a meal out instead. Though I still want a yummy cake!

Almost Omelette

Today I made a yummy mushroom omelette. I actually really beat the eggs and poured it on top of the precooked ingrediants. Because the eggs were beaten, the omlette was really light and fluffy. It turned out semi layered and was really nice. Put it under the grill to brown the top. Really yummy! Even Arthur liked it! :)
