We took Arthur to see Santa for Christmas at the home of rest for old horses. He asked Santa for Drums!!

Jo missed her Flybe flight as a result of a delay with her Easyjet flight. Easyjet don’t seem to want to take much responsibilty despite their having a 6 hour delay!! C’est la vie. The only issue was that flybe was on time or she might have been able to make her connecting flight! She will have to overnight in Staines!

I am having fun today… I broke into Randolph‘s Blog… and claimed that all he wanted for Christmas was Lab Coats!! True he is finally in dentistry… but I know he would rather have chocolate or money… or even chocolate money over uni stuff!!

I wonder how long he will take to notice!!

Randolph would go crazy if he saw the LA used office furniture that is being sold. It would so fit the bill for what he is looking for. He really would like to do up his room. He is not fussed that it would not be new as long as he has lots of desk space and a nicely laid out room and it does not break the bank. Unfortunately for him, this is in LA and not Malta!

I always found it exciting to player poker though I am by no means a decent player. In fact I frequently forget the rules and get muddled up with rules, regulations and concepts such as :-  which wins

• a straight or a poker
• a full house or a set of 3 and of 2… or is that the definition of a full house.

I am so out of practise, it is no wonder I forget the rules. What I do know is that the basic rule to winning in Poker is … Bluffing! Luck helps, but it is more about your bluffing skills. Which is why I generally find online gambling baffling. I mean how can you bluff or tell who is bluffing if you cannot see their faces? Friend of Owen‘s named Dan hates to lose at golf. He was in a foursome when his ball landed in a sand trap. Hidden from view, they could hear him as he hacked away at the ball. When he finally drove it out with his Taylormade Drivers, and rejoined them, they asked him how many strokes that was.

‘Three.’ he replied.

‘Oh come on !’ said another member of the group. ‘I heard six.’

‘Three…’ replied Dan ‘were echoes.’

I overheard someone speaking about Taylormade Drivers…. and I actually hoped that they were talking about my nail salon called Taylormade to start doing home visits. I was wrong! They were talking golf! Shame.

Attending a wedding for the first time, a little girl  was taken in by it all. The food, the wedding favors, the cake, the music. It set her thinking. She turned to her mother and asked,

‘Because white is the color of happiness, and today is the happiest day of her life,’ her mother explained, keeping it simple.

The child thought for a moment and said, ‘So why is the groom wearing black?’

I have been reading about grow lights. I was wondering if they would be helpful with my growing strawberries. I was very dissappointed that half my strawberries rotted before they ripened. Any advice on how to save my strawberries from rotting before they ripen will be appreciated. We did have an unusually wet summer… could that be the cause?
