Hancock

September 17th, 2008

Despite everything I had heard about Hancock not being great, I watched it recently. Personally I enjoyed it. I think it is probably more realistic than most super hero stories. I mean honestly you save the world and they are ungrateful in return!! You are also expected to be constantly in a good mood and nice. In reality who is in a good mood always. At least not me.

So if you can cope with a touch of realism in a super hero story…. then you might just enjoy it!!

Just for you to know…. there is Will Smith & Charlize Theron …. in case you were looking for an alternative reason to watch it!!

Great Gift for Arthur

September 13th, 2008

I saw this garage and thought that Arthur might enjoy it. It could be a really nice Christmas or Birthday present. It even is reduced in price this week to just £25 from £37.50 until the 16th. Thing is with planning to buy him a bike for his birthday, I am in two minds. I am not sure what to do!!!

Double your money!!

September 13th, 2008

How do you walk out of a Casino with a small fortune…. walk in with a large one!!
Everyone has heard that old gag! Haven’t you? Well…. “How do you…” Oh So you have heard it then.

Well seriously speaking… Have you ever heard of anyone doubling your money? Well Money casino online are doing just that. They are offering new subscribers the chance to double their chips. They will double your chips five times. I mean that every time you buy chips (that is money you can use at their casino) they will double them. In other words, if you buy a hundred quid worth of chips, they will give you two hundred quid worth of chips. What is the catch… Obviously there is a catch… we do live in the real world…

1. They will only double your first 5 purchases
2. You can only get up to $500 from doubling your money

You could increase your cash from the actual gambling and there is no limit there. You can even open several windows and play multiple games at the same time. However, that is for the serious multi tasker. I can barely do one thing at a time, let alone several. I could not play multiple games all in one go. I definitely do not take after my uncle Gigi who could actually play multiple games of chess at one go. Do you know, he once played 22 games simultaneously against 22 different players and if I am correct won 19, drew 2 and only lost 1! Needless to say, yes, he was a chess champion!

Now if only I could multi task… let see, I think I would erm… I think I need to stop this post to stay thinking what I could do if I could multi task!!

I am joking about not being able to multi task you know. After all I am a mum!!

Squirrelly

September 7th, 2008

Well, after my photo of the squirrel, MysteryHK was inspired and wrote his own squirrelly post. I must say his inspiration put a big smile upon my face. His post is Muppet Show oriented and food oriented too… but go have a look… (not for the easily upset and offended!!)

Daddy Cooks & Arthur Helps!

September 6th, 2008

I must say it is always so nice when Owen cooks. He made lovely Moroccan Chicken Wraps today. And to ensure I felt really pampered, Arthur laid the table. Bliss…. All I need is now is some calorie free chocolate!!

Not feeling well!

September 5th, 2008

Yesterday, after going to Montessori, I simple did not feel well. I felt like I was going to pass out. Arthur & I got home safe and sound…. but I remember very little else. I seemed to keep drifting in and out of sleep. Arthur kept saying, “Mummy, Mummy, Wake Up, Wake Up!”. I really tried but kept falling asleep. I felt so guilty, but I could not control it. Thankfully Owen came home earlish and looked after Arthur. I went straight to bed.

Cathy has not been well either, but I could not take Amirah today. I was too afraid of the same thing happening again. Two toddlers together and an adult out of it, definately a recipe for disaster!!

Montessori

September 4th, 2008

We took Arthur to check out the Montessori school. It seems like one of the best so far. They offered a range of eductational accessories to really expand children’s minds. They covered things like Geography, Science and Geometry. Let me give a little more explanation.

For example children were able to match flags to countries, they knew continents too. The children were spacially aware of size. They were also able to differenciate between different types of polygons. They were able to understand differences between rivers, straits and lakes. Rather than being taught simple parts of the body such as Head, Shoulder, Knees & Toes, they covered things like femur, lungs, heart etc.

All the children were well behaved and seemed very independant.

I suspect Arthur can gain quite a bit from this school. It was particularly nice to see that it was not just a nursery or baby sitting service but offers real education. If it will be enough for Arthur, I don’t know but at least it is something.

Owen liked the school too!

Night Out

September 1st, 2008

Today was Cathy’s Birthday. So I went to her house for the evening along with a couple of friends. Unfortunately, Cathy started to miscarry!! We took her straight to hospital and I took Amirah to my house. Leslie stayed with Cathy, as she drove her to hospital.

Miscarrying is never nice but on your birthday is horrific!!
