Printed Photos (and some free ones too)

September 30th, 2008

As I frequently keep getting asked where the best places to print photos are (because of my interest in photography), I have decided to dedicate this post to Photo Printing.

First and foremost, if you want only the very best and nothing but the very best… develop your own! But as this is not realistic in most people’s cases and we do live in a day and age where digital is prevalant… lets speak digital.

The advantages of digital are numerous. You have the here and now factor. You can print directly from your camera and/or pc. You have the internet and its competition at your feet.

I find that printing your own on your printer actually tends to work out more expensive and unless you have a really good dedicated photographic printer… not very good prints. They can do for school projects or maybe a purse photo… but not much else.

The difference between one printer and the other is actually negligible. Unless you are really fussy, most people will not be able to tell the difference between one printer and another. Printers are all vying for your business and will encourage you to use them by offering you Free Prints. I personally believe that if they are being offered, then why refuse?

So below, I listed a range of photo printers offering free prints or special offers. You need to click on the adverts below to get the Free prints and / or special offers. Also note if they tell you to input a code in the advert (or you may end up not being given the prints). I have not listed the codes as they are subject to change. All the adverts are automatically updated, so all the codes will be valid.

Currently, if you apply for each of the adverts you can get yourselves 235 FREE Prints!! Aside from other offers.

Hope this helps!! If you have any questions… I will be glad to help you out if I can… just leave a comment!

Christening Gift

September 29th, 2008

I really need to get moving to choose a Silver Baby Gift for Arthur‘s cousin Samuel’s Christening. It is just a couple of weeks away and I still have not got round to doing anything. I know it is the thought that counts… but now I am being ridiculous. I must chose something!

Baby Clothes

September 28th, 2008

I cannot believe just how much Arthur has grown. I was going through his Baby Clothes are really ended up nostalgic. I nearly cannot remember him that small. He is such a little boy!!

Sports Clothes

September 27th, 2008

So I started looking into buying Owen some sports tops for Owen. Among the nfl sports apparel that I found included nfl team jerseys and official nfl jerseys. So my question is which do I chose? And would Owen really care as long as he looked good?

Clothes for Owen

September 26th, 2008

So, anyone who knows Owen, do you think he would look good in College Football Jerseys? I want to buy Owen some new clothes…. and was wondering what to get him. And no… this is not his birthday present!

Owen’s Birthday!!

September 25th, 2008
What do you buy a man who has everything he wants? I an stuck for a birthday Gift with a bow present for Owen. If I don’t come up with something really quick, he could end up with my getting him some Mens Golf Apparel! (in case you are wondering… Owen does not play golf!)
Any ideas would be welcome!!!

Friends

September 24th, 2008

I cannot help myself… I am such a “Friends” fan. Even though they are reruns… I cannot help but keep watching them.Monica & Chandler are planning their wedding in this episode. I cannot decide if being like Monica would be a good thing or a bad thing. You know she has her wedding favors all sorted out before she even says “Yes I will marry you!” but then…. sharing is part of the fun!!!

Time to get organised!

September 23rd, 2008

My father has just left, Arthur has started school and this means it is time to get organised. There is so much I need to do.

  • Get house nice and organised!
  • Chase after Peter to get Staines finished!
  • Deposit the cheques I have pending!
  • Buy a couple of silver gifts because we have a couple of weddings coming up!
  • Sort my photos!

The list goes on and on….

Arthur starts school!!

September 23rd, 2008

Arthur started school yesterday. He started going to a Montessori school. It was such a hard decision to make as to which school to send him. Most schools for his age bracket are not schools at all but Nuseries, and most of the nurseries are little more than babysitters.

Arthur‘s last school was at Mooinjer Veggey. I must say that it was really good as far as schools were concerned. In fact I was very hesitant to take Arthur out of the school. He was happy, he was picking up Manx and he was always coming home with things he made. My only concern was that after his spending a few months bar picking up some more Manx, I was unsure how much more he would gain from it. I did think about sending him concurrently to 2 schools but then that would make me a pushy mum – and I don’t want that.

This school is all about letting children explore. There are areas which I don’t like, such as the over familiarity. I feel teachers should be called Miss Larissa and not Larissa, but then I am a stickler.

I cannot believe that this is Arthur‘s second school already - he is still in Baby Clothes! Before I know it, he will be heading off to University!!

Anyway, Arthur enjoyed his first day and seems happy. Isn’t that all that matters?

Randolph The Dentist!!

September 19th, 2008

I have just received the most wonderful news. Randolph has been accepted into Dentistry. All his hard work has paid off. Mind you, mum thinks that he deserves to be told off too!!!

Randolph had decided if he was not accepted into Dentistry this year, he would read medicine instead. So he called up and told her….”I am sorry but I won’t be becoming a Doctor!”. You can imagine, not what any mum wants to hear, especially after all the hard work. I believe mum started begging and pleading with him to reconsider…. to which he replied… “Definitely not…. I told you -  I want to be a Dentist not a Doctor!”.

Needless to say, we are all tremendously proud of him!!

CONGRATULATIONS Randolph!!

GOOD LUCK with your course!!
