There is nothing more beautiful or more bonding than breastfeeding! The memories will last forever for both mum & child. If Arthur catches a glimpse of my breasts, he still goes all gooey eyed, more than if I waved chocolate at him. And yes, he is a chocaholic!!

At first I felt awkward and uncomfortable constantly having to "hide" that I was breastfeeding. I flipped and thought, well if they don't like it, they don't have to look. By whipping it out and being comfortable, it really made it so much easier for me. And honestly, being so content feeding my son, I did not care who saw and who objected!!

Good Luck with your new Baby!!!

aw that was a sweet video. i remember when my own son would feed and grab me and fall asleep. *sigh* the memories! i have one picture of him breastfeeding, but the memories will last forever. there is nothing like the bonding of a mother and child during this precious time.

I am pregnant with number 6. The first two kids were only breastfed for 4 months, the third for 9 months and the last two were twins and while I tried hard to make it work, two was too much for me, however..... part of the success with number 3 was that I overcame the "shame" of feeding in front of people and in public and the lack of success with 1 and 2 was because I didn't have the "courage" to publically display my devotion to my child.

Now, my sister, (who went to a demonstration at H&M http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2008/08/07/bc-h-m-breastfeeding-protest-vancouver.html?ref=rss) who is SO BRAVE about breastfeeding has inspired me to be BOLD and just do the whole act of feeding my new baby (Coming soon) in the same fashion as giving a bottle or a sandwich to another child. I have a very close friend who also is totally a nurser and will "whip it out" in the middle of the grocery store, WHILE pushing a stroller or cart and has NO QUALMS about feeding her baby in ANY place...

have to thank you so much for blogging this because when it boils down to it, when we mommas stick together, we tend to give each other invisible pats on the back making it easier for us to do the things we need to! THANKS!

Thank You.

Yes, they probably were breastfed themselves. Pretty good point.

Aww the little bugger got tuckered out!

Now were the people who are against breastfeeding in public not breastfed themselves?

I think you did an awesome job on the video and showing how natural and beautiful it is. Meh society these days...
