He has always been very self aware. We still have the odd accident when either I do not respond fast enough or he is too engrossed in playing. But mostly, I think we cracked it! I am so jealous! It took both of my boys until they were past three before they were completely trained, i.e. they knew they had to go, could hold it until we got to the bathroom, could pull their pants down and back up, and wash their hands.
