Cosmetic Surgery

August 26th, 2007

I have often pondered about Cosmetic Surgery. Which bits would I get done. The thing is there are so many bits that could do with improvement, that I will probably be under the surgeons knife for the rest of my life. And I don’t want to end up like Michael Jackson. On the otherhand my boobs could do with and up lift and liposuction won’t go amiss….

Hypnosis

August 26th, 2007

I have always wanted to learn hypnosis. As I went through my degree, I found out that one of my credits included hypnosis. I was overjoyed. I was finally to learn all about hypnosis. Sadly I discovered that it was nothing like hypnosis as featured on TV and in movies.

It is quite interesting and more impressive than TV where people are acting and not really hypnotised.

I was absolutely miffed however that my course only gave us 1 actual lesson on hypnosis. Really disappointing. So I keep thinking about finding some time to follow a hypnosis course. Hopefully one day soon.

Arthur’s Vocabulary!

August 26th, 2007

Arthur‘s vocabulary is rushing ahead so quickly, I simply cannot keep up with his new words. His new words today alone included :- Hot, Moon and a long word (but I cannot remember it!)

I was pleasantly surprised when I read him his story that he started pointing out things and saying them such as egg and? toast.

He also wanted to sleep in his playroom today though at the last minute agreed to sleep in his own cot. He is so adorable.

Karl Moore

August 25th, 2007

Today I came across a post by Karl Moore, on Karl Moore’s Blog? of course. And it really made me giggle and pause for thought. I must admit that I did come in from a good saturday night out but I do not think I am that intoxicated to not enjoy a good post. Unless perhaps I am too intoxicated and so enjoyed it regardlessly.

I digress. His post called Friday Factoid which was written on saturday seemed to bounce around a bit. However there were lots of intriguing facts like did you know that Agatha Christie received most inspiration in the bath eating apples! Mmmm healthy! And Ian Fleming best known for James Bond also wrote Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Interesting. Don’t you agree?

BA

August 24th, 2007

Today I finally deposited the cheques of my parents for lost luggage by BA. I must say suddenly my account feels really healthy. Mind you it was money that was lent previously. But it always feels good when you get a lump sum.

I must chase up Owen about our claim with BA.

I must also try to book Jo’s Flight for her.

Argh… I have so much to do.

British Airways - for flights, car hire, hotels

Bedspreads

August 24th, 2007

I was thinking about buying a few bedspreads. The biggest drawback is that they can be so heavy and cumbersom. Yet they can make a bedroom so pretty. Perhaps I will just get some for the spare beds so that the spare beds can always look neat, tidy and pretty and I will only have to mess around with them when we have visitors.

A limerick about my brother Randolph!

August 24th, 2007

There once was a boy called Ran,
Who was a really great big fan
Of creamy gooey Nutella
Even though he was a fella!
And now he wants to try it with Jam!

Eye of the Dolphin

August 24th, 2007

Eye of the Dolphin is a film I really want to take Arthur to see. I think he will really enjoy it. Arthur loves animals of every kind. This is a good way to teach him about dolphins. The story is about a girl who goes to live with her dad. He works with dolphins and she builds up a friendship with a dolphin. I think it will keep Arthur encaptured with the magic of the film.

The film opens today but I guess I will have to wait a couple of weeks till it hits the cinemas in the Isle of Man. Still fingers crossed, it won’t be too long a wait!
