I am not sure if you remember but I used to be a vegetarian. I actually spent several year as a vegetarian. It was never quite for the love of vegetables. The truth is I used to feel sorry for the animals. And in case you are wondering… NO I do not feel sorry for them any more. I made a choice and am really happy with my decision. I would not change it for anything. And besides I do enjoy meat.
And please do not go into it. I do not need to justify my decision so do not even bother questioning it.
The thing is this, you need to eat fruit and vegetables to live a healthy life style. It is recommended that you eat at least 5 portions a day. This is not always easy but there are things that can make it easier. Things I have done, have included to Drink My Daily Veggies? or fruit like in smoothies, I have even made fruit jellies and mulched them into food. Currently my favourite daily portion is apricots. Just 3 dried apricots counts as one portion. Yum. Now if they could include chocolate as a fruit and veg portion!!
